Introduction

The Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library is a digital library that combines museum and archive functions, with a mission to serve the global Chinese studies community.

As well as housing archives related to Chiang Ching-kuo, the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library provides a space for academic events and exhibitions of historical materials. The Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library builds on the achievements of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation in promoting Chinese studies around the world while also using digital technology to integrate archives and historical materials from government sources, non-government organizations, and private collections into a unified digital resource with the aim of promoting research on the modernization experience of the Republic of China. In the future, the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library will continue work on the digitalization of Chinese studies resources, proving an important platform for the global Chinese studies community.

The Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library features a reference area on the first floor, providing a variety of services such as database searches and access to books and collections. The reading hall of the library is located on the second floor and features publications and digitization projects in Chinese studies that were supported by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation, while also providing a space for book launches, book readings, lectures, and cultural activities.
